  1. Overview

Within minutes of completing your order (typically less than 5 minutes) you should receive a fulfillment message to your eBay inbox (and to your email when available).

The fulfillment message will contain links to tickets -- 1 link for each ticket ordered.

Each link leads to a ticket image, with barcodes and numbers for both voucher and PIN.

Ticket voucher and PIN numbers are listed next to each link, when available. Numbers are automatically extracted from the ticket image (and occasionally may be incorrect); if extracted numbers are absent or don't work, please refer to the ticket via its link and use the numbers shown there.

(If you must use the link, the ebay Inbox does not make external links clickable. If your eBay messages also go to email, open this message there — the link should appear fully clickable. OR copy the entire link and paste it directly into your browser’s address bar.)

If redeeming online or in-app just use the voucher/pin numbers mentioned above.

If redeeming at the theatre's self-serve kiosks you could enter voucher/PIN numbers, or scan barcodes.

Heads up: AMC charges a "convenience fee" if booking online or in-app. You could sidestep these charges by using self-serve kiosks at theatre (though by then seats you want may be taken), or by becoming an AMC Stubs member (see https://www.amctheatres.com/amcstubs).

For more information on AMC tickets, please see https://www.amctheatres.com/faqs/passes-and-vouchers

  2. I want to purchase tickets, but I don't see an option to buy.

If you're trying to purchase using the ebay app and are getting a message "This item cannot be purchased. Add to your wishlist" or similar, the best we've been able to find out is that it's eBay doing that so they don't have to pay "platform fees" to mobile app stores, or some such. Honestly we don't know for sure.

What does seem to work is if you purchase using a browser (not app).

  3. I placed an order, and haven't received my tickets!
  4. Fun Fact -- the eBay App is often laggy.

The eBay app is often laggy, delivering messages only much after they're sent.

If you've purchased tickets and haven't received your fulfillment message within 5-ish minutes, please use a browser (not the ebay app) to check your eBay Inbox: https://www.ebay.com/cnt/ViewMessage.

  5. After I copy/paste links I get error "unable to find file".

In all cases thus far it's because too little or too much was copy/pasted as the link.

If your eBay messages go to your mail app as well, please try opening links there; unlike the ebay inbox, mail apps highlight links correctly, making them easy to open.

If you're redeeming / booking online, it may be easier simply to use the voucher / pin numbers listed beside the links in the fulfillment message.

If you must copy/paste the link, please copy from https://... all the way through and including ...view

  6. More fun -- AMC checkout can be glitchy.

    Please double-check voucher/PIN numbers.

That said, sometimes the AMC checkout system itself is glitchy, and especially when many people are trying to book it can erroneously report a ticket as invalid. (If the website is sluggish, or shows a loading progressbar, that's a good indication it's under load.)

    It's a nuisance, but, welp.

What works in such cases is to close all browsers, wait 7-10 minutes, start over pref in incognito mode (that whole thing about cookies, etc.). It also helps not to try redeeming the same ticket repeatedly in quick succession, as that causes its own issues.

  7. Is there a loyalty program?

Currently, yes -- for every 10 tickets purchased you're eligible for 1 PIN-less Black Ticket. Every time you reach that ticket threshold we'll automatically reach out to you with this offer.

    See What are PIN-less tickets?.

  8. What are PIN-less tickets?

Tickets usually have a voucher number and PIN number. PIN-less tickets have only a voucher number (and barcode); no PIN. They:

    • don't expire
    • but can't be redeemed online, in-app, or at theatre self-serve kiosks
    • and have to be redeemed / scanned at the theatre front desk by theatre personel

Since they have to be redeemed in-person, by the time you get to the theatre the seats you want may be gone, or the screening itself may be sold out. A workaround is to go by early, even a day ahead, and to redeem for the date-screening-seats you want.

  9. How exactly do I redeem PIN-less tickets?
    • go to your theater lobby, look for personnel
    • there should be at least 1 security-type person around; if they don't know about scanning tickets, etc, ask for actual theater personnel
    • with any luck you'll find somebody with experience; maybe you'll even get a "shift supervisor" or "manager"
    • tell them you have a PIN-less ticket that, because it doesn't have a PIN, can't be redeemed at the self-serve kiosks and has to be redeemed at the register; if needed, show them the ticket image and point out it has only 1 barcode.
    • if you look at the front desk, on the desk itself you may see a small black terminal with an attached scanner; that's the terminal/scanner that needs to be used (but read on).
    • by this time with any luck the theatre person knows what you're talking about, and uses that setup to dispense your ticket

  10. Can I order PIN-less tickets?

    Yes. Currently $6.50 each.

These are processed/fulfilled by a partnered vendor via email (please reach out to email listed below). Responses are usually within an hour.

  11. Do you have beverage / popcorn vouchers?

Yes, but they need to be redeemed online (rather than redeemed at concession-stand) and so work out best if you aready have a Stubs membership.
